There are no formal prerequisite units for CPCWHS1001.
Participants will need to be able to understand basic workplace safety instructions, communicate safety information and complete simple written activities as part of the training and assessment.
Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the construction industry.
In Tasmania, successful completion of the training does not automatically issue the White Card. Participants must apply for their construction induction card through Service Tasmania using their Statement of Attainment and required identification.
Programmed Skilled Workforce does not issue the physical White Card. In Tasmania, White Cards are issued by WorkSafe Tasmania.
After completing your training, you will need to apply for your White Card by following these steps:
You will sign your application as part of the application process at Service Tasmania.
Important: Under WorkSafe Tasmania requirements, a Tasmanian White Card can only be issued where the learner was a resident of Tasmania when they completed the training.
